we don't have licenses yet


They were there with their family. Their dad, uncle and older brother work on their modified 1950s pickup truck. They have all made plans for the car they will each build when they turn 14. They seemed unaware of the effect of climate change on fuels and in turn the rising price of fuels and how this might make threaten their dreams of racing.

New York Times recently published an article Fast Cars, Full Tanks about the rising price of fuel for racers. 

Eastside Racing Crew



First thing you notice is the engines, then the grape-cola scented racing fuel.

Never miss a race


These guys were just hanging out with the Eastside Racing crew. They said that they don't race but that they'd never miss a race. They like the cars, they like the guys, they just like to be there and have a good time.

We come here for the cars




I went to Thunder Valley Racing Park in Noble, Oklahoma on a Friday night with the intent of understanding if climate change and rising fuel prices affect this sport.
